Rock and Roll Will Never Die (Portraits / Part 1) This illustrative portrait series gives light too some of the most influential classic rockers. Part 1 of this series includes Alice Cooper, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain.
The Wizard of Oz I wanted this poster to develop an interesting twist on the classic 1939 movie while maintaining vintage time-period characteristics. The Wizard of Oz has become the most viewed film in history and is a true classic too almost everyone. I wanted to develop a creative composition centralizing on the most well known antagonist the “Wicked Witch of the West”. This poster serves as a true nostalgic piece that incorporates vintage styled typography, flourishes, and historical compositional influences.
Into the Wild (Part 1) Animal Conservation Awareness This on-going series depicts some of Earth's most distinguished wildlife. With climate change, deforestation, pollution, etc.. effecting the entire planet I felt this was a great opportunity to put illustration to good use. A portion of the limited edition print proceeds will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The Infamous Superheroes (Portrait Series / Part 1) Each influential superhero has played a great role in popular culture. In this series I wanted each character to develop a unique and original feel that unites DC Comics and Marvel into one. This series in on-going and will continue to further develop each character. Includes: Batman, Superman, Deadpool, Hulk, Wonder Woman, and Black Panther.
The Pittsburgh Public Theater had the vision to bring back a visual feel from the everlasting 1930's Art Deco style. This piece was illustrated to send to donors for the annual Gala as a way to build attraction for the event. Working with art direction from Pittsburgh based designer Paul Schifino together this illustrative piece was brought to life in a unique one-of-a-kind mailing invite. Client: Pittsburgh Public Theater | . Art Direction/Design: Paul Schifino | Illustration: Alex Hess
Blink-182: Southern California's Finest In this poster I wanted to play off of the iconic rabbit imagery in my own unique blend and execution. The ultimate goal was to create a tribute poster that would clash the elements of punk, contemporary, yet still have a popular appeal (symbolic to how most viewed their music). Meticulously illustrating the all the elements were at most importance and especially within the composition and roses (see detail crops). This is a must have for any Blink-182 fan.
Pulp Fiction When creating this poster the most important aspect to capture was to truly develop a poster in how I envisioned Quintin Tarantino's iconic way of directing films. Pulp Fiction (1994) is undeniably Tarantino’s most iconic film so I wanted this poster to develop an undeniably original one-of-a-kind feel and look. I approached this poster in a somewhat pop art feel with a warm limited color pallet in almost a comic book execution. The composition was greatly inspired by the “Golden Ratio” of design with the grid based elements.
PSYCHO Alfred Hitchcockʼs 1960 film, “PSYCHO” is renowned to many critiques as Hitchcock's greatest film. I wanted this poster to be suspenseful and convey a nostalgic feel about the iconic thriller.
Game of Thrones - Winter is Coming... “When you play the game of thrones, you win or die.” I wanted this poster to visually depict the complexity of this series in a timelessly original way. Including iconic characters such as: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Cersi Lannister, Jamie Lannister, Arya/Sansa Stark, etc...
The Amazing Spider-Man (Tribute Bugle) For this "Spider-Man" piece the goal was to switch it up a bit and focus on strong design elements as well as illustrative. This piece is unique because it serves as informational and artistic in a way that feels like a newspaper. I wanted the essence of Spider-Man to capture the nostalgic comic issues of the 60's/70's.
Breaking Bad (Walter White / Jesse Pinkman) When creating this poster I wanted to capture the essence of the infamous characters Walter White and Jessie Pinkman. AMC’s Breaking Bad will forever be immortalized as one of the most beloved shows of all time. This poster’s influence stems from Norman Rockwell’s somewhat unknown 1960’s portrait sketch of his wife Molly and himself.

Black Swan (Original Film Poster) For this poster I wanted to centralize on Natalie Portman’s iconic portrayal of the black swan in the film. My goal was to give a sinister look to the poster while creating a dramatic feel, and embracing a level of sophistication.
